Microsoft presents: What is new in analytics for Business Central

04:30 PM - 05:15 PM Primrose 3/4 Back to event schedule

Join this session for the grand overview of key updates to analytics in Business Central 2025 release wave 1, including Power BI apps, data analysis queries, and reports with Excel/Word layouts. We will cover this and how it works across all major functional areas: finance, sales, purchasing, manufacturing, projects, and more. The session is relevant if you work pre-sales, as this demos well with prospective and existing customers, or working as functional consultants (to show your customers what is possible), architects (to include analytics in upgrade plans and tenders), and maybe also developers (to learn where to get inspired for your code).

Speakers:

Kennie Nybo Pontoppidan

Principal Program Manager

Kennie Nybo Pontoppidan works as program manager in the Dynamics 365 Business Central server backend team. He has been working in the dangerous field between customers, partners, support professionals, developers and dba's for many years and done his part of mistakes as a developer before that in his 18+ years in the it industry. He enjoys working with data and databases and really, really enjoys working using KQL. Kennie has no humor.

Peter Borring

Program Manager, Microsoft

Peter has been with Microsoft since the acquisition of Navision in 2002, and has worked as a program manager in a number of areas and product lines throughout this time. He is currently a program manager on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central developer tools team, responsible for the AL language, Visual Studio Code tooling, AppSource and extensions.
