Project Success or Failure: Universal Drivers That Matter

03:30 PM - 04:15 PM Primrose 8/9 Back to event schedule

Step into a dynamic session that unpacks the real-world strategies behind some of history's most ambitious projects. Learn what lessons you can apply to your own projects.

Why It Matters:
Most ERP projects are not considered a success - defined as finishing on time and budget and providing anticipated value. Don't be a statistic. Learn what will set your projects up for success.

Format:
Breakout discussions to examine your current projects against the factors most likely to result in success.

What Will be Covered:
1. Strategic Planning & Realism: Learn how embracing rigorous planning and tackling optimism bias head-on can drive even the most colossal projects to success.
2. Stakeholder Mastery: Discover techniques for aligning diverse interests and building coalitions that empower projects to overcome resistance and turn challenges into opportunities.
3. Risk & Complexity Management: Explore proven methods to anticipate pitfalls, manage uncertainties, and keep big projects on track through adaptive management and transparent decision-making.

Speakers:

Jason Spanos

All Your Ducks

Jason Spanos applies method and rigor to everything he approaches. He is about to hit 30 years of experience working with ERP systems and has done everything from building interfaces to project management to sales and marketing. Jason stays focused on current research data and methods for successful projects and firmly believes that reflection and continuous improvement are required for growth. His current pet peeve is the term "best practice" - which should be replaced with the term "better practice", suggesting there is always room to explore better ways to do things in the future.
