A Message to Our Directions North America Community - Updated 3/31/2020
As the Directions North America Organizing Board has continued to monitor the current situation, we have had numerous conversations with Microsoft, the Venue, Sponsors and Attendees. Our primary goal continues to be the health and safety of everyone, as well as the ability to deliver an event with high value. With the continued uncertainty around COVID-19, the Directions Board has decided the risk is too high to deliver an event this May and still meet these goals. As part of this difficult decision, we immediately engaged in conversations with the Venue and were fortunate enough to identify an alternative 2020 date at the same Venue for this year’s Directions Event. We are confident by moving the 2020 event to later this year, we can still deliver on all our goals. Therefore, Directions 2020 is moving to the period of Tuesday, December 1st thru Friday, December 4th 2020.
Existing 2020 attendee registrations, exhibitors, and sponsorships will still apply to the new dates.
The Early Bird registration period will reopen and run through 7/31/2020 for any new registrations.
For those of you with existing hotel reservations, the hotel requires those reservations to be cancelled and rebooked. So, those reservations will be automatically cancelled and refunded by the hotel. A new link will be published soon for everyone to rebook hotel reservations for the new dates.
Please keep an eye on our website as we will be publishing more details about event content in the next couple months as well as a new high level agenda.
Meanwhile sponsorships are still sold out and attendance is trending higher than any previous years’ event.
The Directions North America Organizing Board will continue to prepare for the 2020 Event and we are looking forward to seeing everyone in December. Thank You.
