When his career began, you got a bundled network card with your Windows for Workgroups purchase. A finely tuned himem.sys file was the mark of technical expertise. He's seen it all since then, including the bundling of separate productivity apps into this new thing called Microsoft Office, Ray Ozzie's hiring and subsequent firing, the dawn of Azure, all 3 CEOs at Microsoft, and now Copilot and generative AI and its impact on business and society.
