A UX guide to the Business Central Platform
Date: Tuesday, May 7, 2019| From: 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM | Room: Red Rock G
If you are new to Business Central, either as a consultant or a developer, you may have wondered how the Business Central user interface comes together. How do pages, data, reports, and actions all combine in the Business Central user interface that customers see in a browser, on a tablet, and on a phone? And what are some of the guidelines to follow when planning and implementing BC extensions, so you can stay in line with the Business Central common patterns and give your users the best possible user experience (before a competing extension does it!)? In this session, we’ll start from the basic concepts for page types (RoleCenter, List, Card, Document, Worksheet, ListPlus), where and why they have different capabilities, and their essential cross-platform characteristics. We’ll look at how to compose pages, field groups, the different action types, and how to promote the right data and actions so users find what they need quickly to work efficiently with your extension in Business Central.
